The Meléndez Molleda family, heirs to a long winemaking tradition in Cariñena, decided in 2000 to start this project to produce wines with grapes from their own vineyards. Wines with a marked varietal character, reflecting the terroir and made mainly with the native varieties Garnacha and Carignan.
The Meléndez-Molleda family winery is located in Tosos, in the province of Zaragoza (northeastern Spain), 750 metres above sea level, on a hill surrounded by a sea of vineyards. The highest winery in the Cariñena PDO.
